How to Submit Data

The Marine Institute, as Ireland’s National Oceanographic Data Centre (NODC), provides long-term stewardship of Ireland’s marine data.

Submitting data to the Marine Institute/NODC?

We are a trusted national repository and hold CoreTrustSeal certification (+IODE Accreditation- DM-QMF, which means we meet international standards for data management and data preservation. This gives you confidence that your data will be handled securely and responsibly. If you produce or collect marine related data, you can submit it to our Marine Data Centre for long-term storage, preservation, and access.

Over 400 marine datasets are currently managed by the Marine Data Centre/Marine Institute, supporting national and international research and policy initiatives.
