Main Contents

As a public body in Ireland, we are committed to promoting equality, preventing discrimination, and safeguarding human rights. This commitment is reflected as a strategic initiative within our current Strategic Plan.

The Marine Institute is subject to a statutory obligation under the Public Sector Equality and Human Rights Duty, as set out in Section 42 of the Irish Human Rights and Equality Act 2014.

This work also contributes to the implementation of our Gender Equality Plan (GEP), which is a required eligibility criterion under the Horizon Europe Framework Programme.
