Three schemes under the EMFAF priorities
The fund helps achieve sustainable fisheries and conserve and restore marine biological resources.
Data Collection Scheme
Fisheries data supports the Common Fisheries Policy. Research vessel surveys, port and sea sampling, age-profile analysis, EU logbooks, and vessel monitoring systems contribute to this work.
Marine Biodiversity Scheme
The scheme supports the protection and recovery of marine and coastal environments by monitoring fishing and aquaculture impacts and contributing to protected-area management.
Marine Knowledge Scheme
The scheme supports the collection, management, and sharing of marine data to track environmental conditions, climate-change impacts, and other trends at national and international levels.
